American Humane Presents Pasado’s Safe Haven with Feed the Hungry Grant

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, April 15, 2020American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization, today announced that Pasado’s Safe Haven is a recipient of American Humane’s Feed the Hungry grant. Located in Sultan, Washington, Pasado’s Safe Haven is a non-profit on a mission to end animal cruelty.

“Our team wanted to send a big thank you for the grant that you have gifted to us in order to feed our animals,” said Stephanie Perciful, Sanctuary Director at Pasado’s Safe Haven. “It has been a really challenging time, and grants like this are helping us out a lot. Thank you so much.”

Pasado’s Safe Haven was founded in 1997 in honor of “Pasado,” a beloved donkey who was tortured to death by three teenage boys. In addition to investigating animal cruelty crimes and providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to animals who have suffered from abuse and neglect, Pasado’s Safe Haven also advocates for better laws to protect animals and works to educate the public about how they can help end animal suffering. Through uniquely comprehensive programs, the organization is able to help thousands of animals every year and spread a message of compassion to countless people.
