Last night, tens of millions of Americans gathered around TV screens to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers. It was an electric night. In the fourth quarter, 24-year-old Patrick Mahomes led a stunning comeback to post a 31-20 victory.
While the big game is the night’s main attraction, many gather to enjoy hot dips, cold drinks and, of course, the commercials. Every year, advertisers and brands go all out on some of the funniest, most entertaining and heartwarming commercials of the year. And, every year American Humane’s Certified Animal Safety Representatives are on-set to monitor any and all animal action.
Rewatch some of our favorite certified commercials.
2020 Hyundai Sonata – Smaht Pahk
Chris Evans, John Krasinski, Rachel Dratch and David “Big Papi” Ortiz deliver their best Beantown Boston accents as they react to Hyundai Sonata’s Smart Park feature… or as they call it, Smaht Pahk. Don’t miss the priceless reaction shot from the dog!
Genesis – Going Away Party
In this hilarious spot for the new Genesis SUV GV80, musician John Legend and real-life wife, Chrissy Teigen, end up at one strange going away party to “old luxury.” As you will see, there are all sorts of representatives of old luxury around, including a man having his portrait taken with a capuchin monkey on his shoulder, a woman holding a hairless cat and of, course, the classic horses and carriage up front. You’ll never look at the old world the same way again.
TurboTax – All People Are Tax People
According to the new TurboTax commercial, if you can do a lot of weird things, you can certainly do your taxes! These activities include riding a subway with a goldfish, placing a glass over a scary spider and a dog walking on a treadmill. Yes, these are very random activities and examples, but we think TurboTax made a good point! American Humane was on several sets for this spot making sure every goldfish, spider and treadmill-running dog was treated perfectly!
GMC Hummer EV – Quiet Revolution
Teasing the new 2022 GMC Hummer, this commercial compares the sounds of steel, galloping horses and everything else to the near silence of the upcoming GMC Hummer. American Humane was on set to oversee the band of beautiful horses galloping across the countryside! As the commercial suggests, it wasn’t that quiet!
