American Humane Presents Spokane Humane Society with Feed the Hungry Grant

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, May 4, 2020American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization, today announced that Spokane Humane Society received a grant from American Humane’s Feed the Hungry fund. Located in Spokane, Washington, Spokane Humane Society is a private, non-profit serving the public by providing care, shelter and placement for neglected and unwanted animals in the greater Spokane area.

Spokane Humane Society aims to enrich the lives of companion animals through support, education, advocacy and love. The shelter is committed to never euthanizing animals due to lack of space, and instead develops strong partnerships to help meet the needs of Spokane’s pets and promote a high rate of pet adoption. Spokane Humane Society was selected as a recipient of the Feed the Hungry fund due to its extraordinary impact for animals. In 2019, Spokane Humane Society’s efforts led to 2,278 adoptions and 2,599 spays/neuters. The save rate was 98.5 percent.
